MLA for Dakota-Arm River • Legislative Secretary for Education
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Barret Kropf has spent over 30 years in leadership roles across the sports industry, business, and community organizations before being elected to serve the people of Dakota-Arm River in 2024.
Barret lives in Caronport with his wife Bridget and together they have built businesses and raised their three sons — Jalen, Joshua, and Jacob — in the community they love. He's also a proud grandfather.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership from Trinity Western University and decades of hands-on management and coaching experience, Barret brings a practical, results-oriented approach to his work at the legislature.
Barret's career spans over three decades in the sports industry, with management and coaching roles across hockey, cycling, and football at provincial, national, and international levels. He and his wife Bridget have also owned and operated businesses together, giving him a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing Saskatchewan entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Barret and Bridget live in Caronport, Saskatchewan. They have three sons — Jalen, Joshua, and Jacob — and are proud grandparents. Their deep roots in rural Saskatchewan and commitment to community shape everything Barret does as MLA.

Dakota-Arm River is located in south-central Saskatchewan, stretching along the Highway 11 corridor between Regina and Saskatoon. The constituency's economy is driven by grain farming, cattle ranching, and the entrepreneurial spirit of its residents.
The riding was renamed Dakota-Arm River for the 2024 general election following significant boundary changes. It has a rich political history dating back to the original Arm River district, first created in 1908.
